CT Scans for the Emergency room - How we do it at Doctors

1- cover the routine imaging order sets from ER

2- discuss plain vs IV contrast

3- discuss oral contrast- none vs positive vs neutral

4- discuss IV contrast related scan protocols such as contrast volume and flow rate for

angiography or timing and length of scans

5- discuss radiation burden- ways to reduce it

Dr Muneesh Sharma is a Gold medalist alumnus in Medicine from Goa University India, receiving

Distinction awards in Preventive Medicine and Pediatrics. He pursued MD Radiology in the same university from 2004 to 2007 and completed the same

Dr Sharma was promoted to the post of Clinical Director and Head of Imaging at Doctors Hospital after the retirement of Dr Larry Carroll in January 2016. Dr Sharma pursued and achieved additional degrees of FRCR from UK London, EDiR from Austria Vienna and MMed in Diagnostic Radiology from Singapore over his tenure at Doctors.
